Collection Completionist
The collection tracker for people who want the whole set. Check off every issue of a comic run, with over 10,000 Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Disney issues already built in, or build your own collection of records, books, coins, cards — anything — by snapping a photo. The app reads the title, author, year and price straight off the cover, right on your phone.
Know what you have. Know what you need.
One App for Everything You Collect
Most collection apps do one thing: a comic database, or a spreadsheet with photos. Collection Completionist does both, side by side. The Comics tab is built for completing runs — every issue of a series in a checklist, with owned issues turning green and a progress bar that fills as you go. The catalog comes built in: 67 series and more than 10,000 issues, from Detective Comics #1 and The Amazing Spider-Man to Hellboy, Star Wars and Uncle Scrooge, with dates and story credits. The Custom tab is for everything else, from a shelf of LPs to a coin album.
Adding things is quick. Point the camera at a record sleeve or a book cover: the scanner crops it straight, and on-device text recognition picks out the title, author, year, price and condition and fills them in. Scan a barcode to look up a book by its ISBN or a record by its UPC. Or paste a whole list — or a spreadsheet — and add a hundred items at once.
Underneath there's real depth for serious collectors: multiple photos per item, quantities for duplicates, what you paid versus what it's worth now, a want list for the pieces you're still hunting, statistics, a printable catalog, and an insurance report with photos and values. And your data is never locked in — everything exports to an open, documented file format, with or without photos.
What It Does
Six real, shipped features — not roadmap copy.
Snap It, and It Fills Itself In
Take a photo of a cover and the scanner crops and straightens it. The largest text becomes the title, and the author, year, price and condition are picked out wherever they're printed. It all runs on your phone — the photo never leaves it.
Complete Any Comic Run
Pick from 67 built-in series — Batman, X-Men, Star Wars, Hellboy, Uncle Scrooge and more — or add your own. Every issue is in one list: tap to mark what you own and the row turns green, filter to Have or Need, and jump to any issue by typing or saying its number.
Collect Anything, Your Way
Records, books, coins, trading cards, stuffed animals — start from a template or a blank collection and add your own fields, like Mint mark or Label. Use it as a running list of what you have, or as a checklist of what you're after.
Know What It's Worth
Record what you paid and what each piece is worth now, with quantities for duplicates. Every collection shows its total paid, current value and gain, and Statistics adds it all up.
"Do I Already Have This?"
One search covers everything: comic series, issue titles, story titles, writers and artists, and every item in your own collections. The want list gathers every missing issue and checklist item, ready to share.
Your Data, Always Yours
Export your whole collection to an open, documented file — with every photo in a .zip if you like — and set up daily automatic backups to a folder or cloud drive you choose. Print a catalog or make an insurance report as a PDF. It's all in one place on the More screen, with a line explaining each option.
From Shelf to Screen in Seconds
Two tabs, one habit. Comics come with the catalog already filled in — pick a series and start checking off issues. For everything else, make a collection and add items by photo, barcode, or a pasted list. Either way, the app keeps score: what you own, what's missing, and what it's all worth.
Pick What You Collect
Add a comic series from the built-in catalog of Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Disney titles (or create your own), or start a collection from a template: Records, Books, Coins or Trading cards each come with the right fields.
Add It the Fast Way
Snap a photo and let the app read the details, scan a barcode to look up a book or record, speak the title, or paste a list of titles or a spreadsheet and add them all at once.
Watch It Fill In
Owned comic issues turn green; checklists show have-versus-need; every collection shows what you paid and what it's worth. Tap "Save & add next" to catalog a whole box without stopping.
Take It With You
Check the want list at a shop or convention, glance at your progress from a home-screen widget, and export, back up, print or share whenever you want.
A Look Inside
Real screenshots, captured on an Android emulator — not mockups.
Built for Completionists
Comics and Everything Else, Together
A real comic tracker — every issue, story credits, variants and your graded copies, with Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Disney runs already built in — sitting right next to your record shelf and coin album. One app, one search, one want list.
The Camera Does the Typing
Cover photos are cropped automatically, and the text on them becomes the title, author, year, price and condition. Recognition runs entirely on the phone, so it works offline and the photo stays yours.
Your Data Is Never Locked In
Everything exports to a plain, openly documented file you can read, edit or keep forever — with every photo in a .zip if you want. Daily automatic backups go to any folder or cloud drive you pick, and importing a backup on a new phone brings the pictures back too.
No Account, No Sign-Up
Nothing to register. Your collections live on your phone; the only things that ever go online are a scanned barcode number (to look it up), the "View on…" links you tap, and the ads that keep the app free.
Backups, export and privacy, all on one screen — each option explained.
Collection Completionist is free, with a small banner ad and no account needed. If it's been useful, you can also support future TRK Studios apps directly:
