Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TRK Studios ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Collection Completionist mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details. Your collections, photos, and on-device text recognition never leave your device. A few features do send limited information online:

• Ads. The App shows AdMob banner ads. Google's advertising SDK may collect and process advertising identifiers and related data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Where required, a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) is shown before ads load.
• Barcode lookups. When you scan a barcode, the App sends only the scanned number to Open Library (for ISBNs) or MusicBrainz (for UPC/EAN codes) to look up the matching title. No other information is sent with that request.
• Voice input. If you use the microphone button, your speech is processed by Google's speech-recognition service to convert it to text.
• Catalog updates. The App can check a URL you configure for catalog updates and download new data from it.
• Google Drive sync (optional). If you turn this on, the App stores backups in an app-private folder in your own Google Drive. We do not have access to that data; it is stored under your own Google account.

2. How We Use Information

We do not operate any servers that receive or store your collection data. Barcode numbers and voice audio are used only to return a lookup result or transcription to the App, and advertising data is used by Google to serve and measure ads as described in their policy.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information. The only third parties the App communicates with are Google (ads and speech recognition), Open Library, and MusicBrainz (barcode lookups), each acting on their own respective privacy terms.

4. Data Retention & Security

Your collections, photos, and settings are stored on your device. Exports and automatic backups go only to a folder or cloud drive you choose yourself. If you enable Google Drive sync, backups are retained in your own Drive's app-private folder until you delete them or turn the feature off.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App serves ads, it should not be used by children without a parent's or guardian's involvement.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in the future (for example, if new features requiring data collection are added), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
